Vic Moore will be remembered and sadly missed

We'll miss a friend and a club member, coffee drinker and riding partner but Vic will long be remembered for breathing energy into and getting the kid's riding club onto a solid footing.
He will be remembered by us at GGMTB not only for the pure joy in the faces of the young boys and girls on their bikes but also as depicted here on his bike, tongue out and with an expression that says ‘bring it on!’
REST IN PEACE

Riviersonderend Blue Crane ride a win for Greyton!

Although Brendon Gertse was the only one to bring back the silverware (second overall in the 23km MTB event), there were more lucky draw prizes than entrants so we all came home feeling like we’d won something.

Thanks to the Pedal Power Association who paid for the entries and Cliff McCormick who helped me get the team there.

Brendon, Jason and Le-Roy (23kms) and Rhimyno and Rodwin (65kms) rode with Peet Pietersen, Marcel Abrahams  (guide/coach) and Taswill Strydom our mechanic.

Fun and games on the start line!

Greyton Classic - Saturday 13 June 2015 - 33km Race

This was a dream come true for 5 GGMTB youth riders and 3 dedicated guides.
2 years ago these young riders joined the " yellow bike " project which is an initiative to get young people onto bicycles and give them an opportunity to appreciate the environment and learn to ride in the mountains. Thanks to the ongoing support though PPA funding, endless enthusiasm of 3 dedicated guides, and just a little guidance from the GGMTB committee.... 5 very excited young riders and their guides took to the tracks. There was no holding them back! Predictably they left their guides behind...riding safely without any spills they rode the race of their lives.... what an incredible experience for these young riders! These pictures say it all.
