Thank you, the Pedal Power Association!
The GGMTB club recently received the wonderful news that we were successful in our application for financial assistance from PPA for the children’s bike fixing project in Heuwelkroon and Bosmanskloof. PPA have very kindly donated R30 000 towards this project which means that we can make a start in repairing the many yellow bikes found at schools in the area. On Monday and Thursday afternoons a group of very excited children meet at Greyton Primer to go riding with local guides Peet Pietersen and first aider Marshall, it’s the highlight of their week! Each week though, many kids are disappointed because for them there is no functional bike to ride..... So more repaired bikes mean more kids riding, having fun and learning about the wonderful outdoors and the sport of cycling.

Thank you Johan Kriegler and ASLA
It really did feel like Christmas in July! We desperately needed a container to store the kids bikes, and Johan Kriegler of MTB Adventures very kindly gave us one of his ASLA containers! Then like magic, ASLA offered transported the container from Grabouw to Greyton Primer, a seemless slick operation. Wow, thanks so much guys!
