Children's Programme - Update, new bikes, new mechanic, new life!

The Pedal Power Association sponsored kids riding club has just had a spike of enthusiasm!
Although regular Monday and Thursday riding has been ongoing, and the kids discipline and skills have improved immensely some recent events have conspired to ‘lurch’ the club forward.
Bikes from Day Trippers
10 bikes with gears (wow!) purchased at major discount from Day Trippers with PPA funding have now put our kids in reach of entering nearby events – we’re thinking Staalwater or Botriver Challenge.
Bike Mechanic
Taswill is new to the team and his quiet efficiency promises to keep the bikes, well, quiet and running like clockwork. Welcome Taswill!
Bike Storage
Ecolodge have made their garage available and this will enable us to expand the club and we’ll hopefully introduce riding to their eco crews too. Our current container is bursting at the seams and has restricted expansion.
Thanks to the enthusiasm of the Barenblatts (Greyton weekenders with bicycle passion) we now have another geared bike with full suspension (see photo), donated by their friends the Moss’s, a joint cash donation from them and their friends the Jossel’s that will keep Taswill fixing bikes for the next year, and a whole lot of goodies from their Cape Town mates. This is all thanks to a recent article on the club in the Overberg Experience magazine.
